Nicholas Thieberger is an Australian linguist working at the University of Melbourne. He received his PhD from The University of Melbourne in 2004 for work on the grammar of South Efate. He is best known for his research on Indigenous Australian languages, on the South Efate language of Vanuatu, and for his work in language documentation.
